Sue has over 31 years of recruitment experience, 16 years of Events experience, and a hands-on approach, actively working with all our clients. Sue believes the success of any business lies in the experience, enthusiasm and commitment of its staff and actively encourages new ideas and change. This enables the business to offer solutions to problems where others fail, and ultimately gives peace of mind to our clients. James has a vast knowledge of working within the recruitment industry gained through over 17 years experience in business development, servicing and staff management. James is dedicated to excellence and constantly strives to set new standards within the marketplace. he prides himself on his knowledge, commitment and no-nonsense approach and is always confident that he can match the candidates and clients perfectly. JANE DAVENPORT - SIMPSON
Director of operations
Jane has over 35 years HR and Recruitment experience and manages the Finance, Administration and HR side of the business as well as overseeing Windsor Racecourse and a variety of other Contracts. Having first-hand experience of recruitment and HR issues as both a client and as a Consultant gives Jane the unique ability to offer support and advice to both colleagues and clients.
KEVIN DARCEY
Director of Security​
Kevin D'Arcy has a wealth of experience and expertise gained from over 17 years working within the Security Industry. Having been responsible for running the security operations of many of the most prestigious sporting events and venues in the UK, his list of high profile clients only confirms his vast knowledge of the field. In addition, his in-depth knowledge of health and safety and risk assessments have seen him sit on a number of safety advisory group that enables him to provide peace of mind to all the events he is involved with. Kevin operates a hands-on approach and is always available to offer advice and support to clients and colleagues.
VIC RICHARDS
Director of operations
Vic is a qualified engineer with over 37 years experience. His background has included working for the Bayer Group as a site manager for 7 years. Vic has worked in the Events services business for 14 years and is accomplished at leading from the front line while liaising with clients. As well as being SIA qualified, Vic enjoys strong relationships with all our clients and always ensures the highest service levels are maintained.​
LAURA TRAVIS
Sales and Recruitment Manager
With over 20 years of business’ experience, Laura joined Richards Events in June 2018. She has a background in Business Development, Customer Services and Sales Management, and has worked in the UK & US. She is excellent at building client relationships, always focusing on the needs of the customer and providing a high- quality service, whilst generating additional revenue.
GRACE BLACKMAN
Operations and Compliance Assistant
Following recent maternity leave, Grace has returned to us in a new role which will involve assisting with various general aspects of the Operations of the Company, and with the Security Division including Vetting and Compliance issues, and maintaining up to date records. She will continue using her social media skills, and send out alerts of all our forthcoming Events
MARGARET SADLIER
Recruitment Consultant​
Margaret joined the team in early 2018 as a recruitment assistant to our consultants. Working mainly alongside James, Margaret oversees the vetting and referencing. Margaret also phone screens potential candidates before commencing the interview process. She is the main contact for admin and payroll duties in our Swindon office.
Margaret is responsible for maintaining, testing and improving the design of the websites.
